SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED
09/04/2010 - 10/31/2010
As the new school year is already here, we are inviting you to become part of the faith journey of the children of this church. We need Sunday School teachers for both services. If you are able to volunteer a couple of Sundays a month at either service we will be offering a training session to familiarize you with the curriculum and answer any questions you may have. It is a joy to be with the children as they learn about the stories of the bible and how they take those lessons out into their world. You will get so much more back than you give! Please call Nancy Mills at 410-721-9129 or email at nmills@cumc.net.

BACKPACK BUDDIES
09/04/2010 - 10/31/2010
We at CUMC are beginning a new mission called Backpack Buddies (BPB). The purpose of this mission is to provide non-perishable, pre-packaged food for the weekends and short school holidays to children who receive breakfast and lunch free or at reduced cost at school and have been identified by the school as children who, without the program, would likely have no food or insufficient food when not in school. The BPB team will pack and deliver backpacks with food for the weekend for each of the children in the program at the end of each school week. If you wish to make a donation or have any questions about this mission, you may call Teena Sallustio at 410-721-8808 or e-mail to fats1@verizon.net. Please see the Activity Sheet for more information.
CUMC IS NOW GETTING GREENER
08/14/2010 -
We have a contract for recycling and the bins are in place. The larger bin (4yd) is for trash and the smaller (2 yd) bin is for recycling. We will be recycling glass, paper, plastic and aluminum. Please do not put dirty paper plates, dirty napkins and/or paper towels in the recycle bins as they are considered trash. Please look for the separate recycling containers placed around the CUMC campus. Thanks for your cooperation.
SIGNING MINISTRY
10/18/2008 -
In the past, we have been blessed with contributions from our Signing Ministry Team. If, in the future, you find you have a need for an interpreter at any service, please contact the church office in advance so that arrangements can be made. We honor the service our interpreters have given to the worship experience for all congregation members and look forward to seeing them again in the future.
BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENING
11/27/2009 -
An ideal blood pressure is less than 120/80. A reading of 140/90 or higher qualifies as high blood pressure, however blood pressure varies throughout a lifetime. Nurses are available to take your blood pressure every Sunday between 10:00-10:30 a.m. in the church office (unless otherwise noted in the weekly bulletin.)
