September is here as well the start of the new year for Education programs at CUMC. Listed below you will find the list of the classes that are planned as well as those that we will offer later in the year. If there are classes or topics that you are interested in but you do not see listed please let me know and we will order the resources for you. CUMC has identified Christian Education as an area of focus for the next year. I would encourage you to find a class so that you can fellowship with others as well as fulfill your membership covenant to Grow as Disciples. Bible Study (Library) Have you ever wanted to share your favorite bible passages, but never took or had the chance to do so? Did you ever want to “bounce it off of so to speak, to see if others agree with your interpretations. Now is your opportunity to do just that. This group study provides for participants to share their favorite Bible readings without the need for a special format or book to limit the discussion process. The only material needed will be the Holy Bible. The plan is to have heartfelt discussions with an emphasis that there are no wrong answers. The goal is that each participant will have either a reinforced understanding or a new conception of his or her favorite passages. The group will meet on Sunday mornings, starting September 7th, at 9:30 A.M., in the Library located in the Multi-Ministries building. You may contact Frank Sallustio at 410 721-8808, or Bob Sellers at 410 721-3142 for more information.
E.K. James Adult Sunday School Class (Church Office) This group focuses on an in-depth study of individual books of the Bible. “Everyone is welcome. None of us is a Bible expert; we are all learning together.” Book to be determined.

John: The Gospel of Life and the Mission of God This new adult class on the Gospel of John, led by Mike Gorman, will focus especially on two key themes in that gospel: life and mission. What exactly is God's gift of abundant life in Christ? How do we receive it? How do we pass it on? In addition to the gospel itself, we will use a study guide plus a short commentary written by Mike for the soon-to-be-published Wesley Study Bible. The first class meeting will be Sunday, September 7th. All are welcome.
