Church Council
This ministry team oversees the work of the church and maintains the purpose and vision of CUMC.
Trustees Ministry Team
This ministry team oversees, maintains and supervises work on the church property (care of the physical plant and buildings, maintenance, planning for long-term improvements, grounds, and all physical assets.) The team meets primarily to make decisions, but members sometimes have to deal with emergencies, such as a water leak. This team meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Staff Parish Relations Ministry Team
This ministry team supports the pastor and staff by conducting staff evaluations, developing and updating position descriptions, hiring new staff, determining salaries, and maintaining open lines of communication between the staff and the congregation. This team meets as needed, sometimes on days other than the 4th Tuesday.
Finance Ministry Team
This ministry team develops and administers the church budget and makes recommendations regarding church finances.
Stewardship Ministry Team
This ministry team conducts the annual stewardship effort to meet the financial needs of the church. The team meets 8-10 times annually; members are busiest during the fall stewardship campaign.
Child Development Center Ministry Team
This ministry team interfaces between the Day Care Center and the church. The team is responsible for the role and responsibilities of the center such as the budget and salaries.
Christian Education/Growing Disciples Ministry Team
This ministry team initiates, develops, and provides learning experiences for people of all ages; programs include Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, adult education, and small Bible study groups.
Community Family Life Ministry Team
This team plans and carries out varied programs to encourage the fellowship of the CUMC family. The programs can be church picnics, dinners, special functions, etc.
Congregational Care Ministry Team
This ministry team helps with congregational needs in times of illness, grief, being away from home, shut-ins, and other needs that arise.
Hospitality/Welcome Ministry Team
This ministry team provides services to make current members feel they are cared for and welcomed in this CUMC family. They also make all new members and visitors feel welcomed and help them in any way possible to make their experience at CUMC rewarding. Some of the services would be greeters, funeral coordinators, wedding coordinators, welcome desk, updating the bulletin board, and signs.
Children's Ministry Team
This ministry team addresses the concerns of children by offering varied children's programs. They coordinate activities such as the church nursery, Easter egg hunts, mission projects, and children's church.
Mission Ministry Team
This ministry team coordinates the various outreach efforts and missions for our congregation, our local community, the nation, and the world. Currently we are sponsoring 20 outreach projects.
Nominations Ministry Team
This ministry team recommends and encourages persons to use the individual's God given gifts to serve in leadership roles and on teams within the church. This team meets 4 to 5 times, August through October, to fill vacancies on the teams for the upcoming year. Other meetings may be held at other times of the year, if needed.
Membership Ministry Team
This ministry team supports the staff in maintaining accurate, up-to-date membership records for current and new members. They coordinate with the pastors on new member classes.
